Hello boys and girls,
we finally close six years of maintaining this blog. This has been quite an unproductive year for this blog. It feels weird to look back and realize just how little we wrote. I guess life takes a toll on all of us and the things we love. I don’t want to whine too much but it somehow makes me nostalgic for the past.
To be honest I can’t promise that we will continue for much longer. Due to personal issues and our daily troubles and responsibilities, it’ll be quite hard to keep going. On my part I will try to keep the interview section alive and I hope to share some of my thoughts here too. I believe Foxy will try to contribute from time to time.
If there’s a wish I want to give all of you is that you will truly enjoy, to the outmost extent, what precious treasure you have in your hands today. You never know when it’ll be gone.
YOU CAN SMIIIIIILE AGAIIIIIIIN!
It’s been 5 years already can you believe it? Thanks a lot to everyone still being with us despite our irregular schedule! Thanks for reading, liking and commenting; feedback is always great to have. It is very rewarding after spending lots of hours to create content and this is our source of joy and pride. It really means a lot for us. I hope that even though it’s become increasingly difficult to maintain this hobby of ours, that we’ll be here for at least the next five years. Our output might be reduced to 1-2 posts per month probably, but we’ll persevere. Cheers, my dear friends and readers!
Don’t forget there’s a blog carnival coming up in two weeks about female goth mangaka: Mizuno Junko, Mitsukazu Mihara, Asumiko Nakamura, Fujiwara Kaoru and Kusumoto Maki. Please let me know if you’d like to participate!
Moreover, please answer the poll on the sidebar. We need the feedback to make the blog pleasant for you, too!

We are really excited to announce you that we bring you the translation of Lesbian SOLO!2 by Morishima Akiko. Chemical Perfume, a friend of ours, did the translation from the Japanese while we Neko-chi did the rest with a little bit of help by Foxy Lady Ayame in typesetting. You can read it here or over at dynasty readers soon.
We are also very happy that we added on the sidebar of our blog links to our side tumblrs dedicated to artists and works that we love. Please check them out if you’re interested!
I’d like to host a seperate blog carnival in January for 1-2 weeks about female goth mangaka, namely Mitsukazu Mihara, Kusumoto Maki, Junko Mizuno, Asumiko Nakamura & Fujiwara Kaoru. Kaori Yuki can also be counted as goth mangaka, but we’ve already had an MMF about her.
Please, anyone interested in contributing a piece let me know.
If you want to support the industry, here’s a list of what’s available officially in English:
Mitsukazu Mihara: The Embalmer, Doll, Beautiful People, IC in a Sunflower, Requiem in Phonybrian, Haunted House
Junko Mizuno: Princess Mermaid, Hansel & Gretel, Cinderella, Hell Babies, Pure Trance, Little Fluffy Gigolo Pelu
Kusumoto Maki: Dolis
Asumiko Nakamura: Utsubora, Chicken Club
Fujiwara Kaoru: If You Wanna Destroy The World
Happy New Year, co-travelers! Let this year make us even better people, let us be kind and keep searching, keep going, keep loving. Let us communicate more! I surely feel I’ve won a lot from twitter discussion and even some tumblr talk; I was made to challenge my ideas on issues as circumcision, asexuality, racial features and realities etc.
Many thanks to:
- Overlord, who keeps me great company on Facebook and is our top commentator;
- Josh, who started commenting this year a few times;
- John Sato, who’s my -mainly- Ghibli movie watching partner,
- Justin, with whom I shared nostalgic and trolling moments while watching Digimon Adventures (s1 & s2) this summer;
- to all the new and old readers.
And talking about communication, drop by even just to give season greetings. The number of followers through e-mail have exceeded the 700, yet things are still quiet here much of the time. We’ve moved to wordpress to get more connected – and I wonder if it deserved the effort since we lost many handy and pretty features that were free on blogspot It’d be more than interesting to know how new people discovered us.
Follow us, as we look back to what progress the blog and its bloggers made this past year (while thanking more people) and make plans for the future. Continue reading
For those who can’t recognize the characters in the header, they are Hisui and Kokuyo from Wish by CLAMP. I had commissioned the talented Sakonma to redraw in her style a quite sensual panel from the manga. Those two are an archangel and the Satan’s son who go the distance and abandon their status and ‘societal’ roles and live happily ever after on Earth. They recently made an appearance in Drug & Drop, so this new template made it just in time to celebrate the crossover as well.
And as you can see, there’s a second e-book that you can check in our Fanfiction section; from the Rurouni Kenshin franchise which touched many childhoods and released some outstanding OVAs. We warn you though that the content isn’t always safe and contains mature situations. Procede at your own risk. We hope you’ll enjoy this one, too! Please leave comments concerning our part of work, namely the design, here and don’t forget to praise the fanfictioner if you get as enamored as we did with the story.
It may have taken awhile -ok, it was quite long- but the great news is that it’s finally here. You might have explored our site a bit, playing with the buttons, images and the menu, and you must have noticed that certain pages were ‘under construction’. One of them was the Fanfiction chapter, categorized under Index. It’ll include our top picks and they’ll be couple stories; a romantic note on our blog.
The first e-book is now in there ready for you to read/download. Mushishi has been a unique title therefore it’s no surprise it made it first ‘on the shelf’. Enjoy!
Edit: I’ve added a poll in the fanfiction section so that you let us know if there’s interest in other ebook formats.
